Schedule for Controller of Examinations (COE) Activities:
This section details the schedule for various processes and events managed by the COE. The academic year is divided into two semesters: the Odd Semester (typically running from [mention the start month based on the context] to December) and the Even Semester (typically running from [mention the start month based on the context] to June/July).
1. Academic Module and Subject Appendices:
- Appending subjects to the academic module: This refers to the process of officially adding or updating the list of subjects and courses offered for each semester.
- Odd Semester: This process is typically completed by May, ensuring the academic module is ready for the upcoming odd semester.
- Even Semester: This process is completed by November, preparing the course list for the next even semester.
2. Student Enrollment and Identification:
- Generation of Roll Numbers for First-Year Programs: This is the assignment of unique identification numbers to all newly admitted students.
- Odd Semester: This is completed by August, allowing first-year students to be officially registered.
- Preparation of Nominal Rolls for All Programs: A nominal roll is a detailed list of all enrolled students in each program.
- Odd Semester: Nominal rolls are prepared in August/September, for the odd semester.
- Even Semester: Nominal rolls are prepared in January, for the even semester.
3. Continuous Assessment and Evaluation:
- Continuous Assessment Tests (CAT) I and II: These are internal examinations conducted to assess students’ understanding of the course material throughout the semester.
- Odd Semester: CAT I commences on the 35th working day, and CAT II commences on the 70th working day of the semester (typically around August/September).
- Even Semester: CAT I commences on the 35th working day, and CAT II commences on the 70th working day of the semester (typically around January/March).
4. Arrears Examination Registration:
- Registration for Arrears Examinations: Students who have not passed previous examinations can register to re-take those exams.
- Odd Semester: Arrears registration takes place in August/September.
- Even Semester: Arrears registration is conducted in January.
5. Fee Collection and Examination Formalities:
- Examination Fee Collection: Students are required to pay the prescribed examination fee before sitting for the end-semester examinations.
- Odd Semester: Fee collection occurs during September/October.
- Even Semester: Fee collection occurs during January/February.
6. Examination Schedule and Logistics:
- Timetable for End Semester Examinations: The official schedule of examination dates and timings for each subject is published.
- Odd Semester: The timetable is released in October.
- Even Semester: The timetable is released in March.
- Hall Ticket and Internal Mark Processing: Preparation and dissemination of student hall tickets (admit cards) as well as compiling internal assessment marks before the examinations commence.

7. End Semester Examinations:
- Commencement of End Semester Examinations: Final examinations are conducted as per the published timetable.

- Students can expect to view results within 15 days from the last date of examinations.
- Receipt of Applications for Revaluation / Re-totaling / Obtaining Photocopy of Answer Scripts: A procedure by where students can apply for rechecking, re-counting or getting copies of evaluated answer papers.
- Applications are accepted for 10 days from the date of declaration of results.
9. Special Examinations:
- Special Supplementary Examinations for Final Year Students: In some cases, specific supplementary examinations may be arranged for final year students.
